ANON., 27, Via Francesco Carrara, Rome.-(Assignees of Colombo, V. ; 8, Via Cappuccini, and Olivari, G. ; 8, Via Poliziano, both in Milan, Italy) May 14, 1934, No. 14518. Convention date, May 13, 1933. [Class 7 (iii)] The vaporizer comprises the combination, in a single heat-accumulating block which is directly connected with the engine cylinder block, of an exhaust gas chamber, a heavyoil vaporizing chamber of rectilinear shape with corrugated walls and a section chamber for either petrol mixture or heavy oil mixture. A casing having exhaust inlets x and an outlet y surrounds the corrugated vaporizing chamber 6 which is connected by an elbow 7, pipe 8, and three-way valved member 10 with a suction chamber 3 communicating through ports a with inlet passages 4, 5. At starting a valve 2 is opened and a valve 1 closed, and a petrol mixture supplied at 12 passes to the engine. For normal running, the valves are reversed and heavy fuel mixture supplied at 11 passes through chamber 6 to the suction passage 3. Removable lids are provided at z and p.
