Abstract

118,619. Genault, A. Aug. 7, 1917, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors; vaporizers, external.- A vaporizing and mixing device forining an extension of a spray carburettor using heavy fuel comprises a pair of perforated metal blocks 3, 4 surrounded by a jacket 7 through which exhaust gases or hot water circulates. The passages in the block 3 are smaller than those in the block 4. and the blocks are separated by an expansion chamber 5. The mixture is produced by air entering at 1 and fuel from the sprayer 2, and is controlled by a throttle valve 11.
