Abstract

222,765. Fornaca, G. March 13, 1924. Vaporizers, external.-To control the heating of the mixture supplied to an engine 1 from a carburettor 2, the inlet pipe is in two portions 3, 3<a>, which unite at both ends. the portion 3 being nearly wholly and the part 3<a> only in part surrounded by exhaust gases in a casing 6. A valve 8 determines whether the mixture flows through either portion or through both. In a modification, the valve 8 is actuated by a device near the inlet valve 5 and subjected to the pressure and temperature of the mixture.
