Abstract

204,601. Westhead, R. Dec. 9, 1922. Vaporizers, external. - The induction pipe a is surrounded by a casing c made in two parts and is heated by a portion of the exhaust gas which enters by a pipe e and leaves by a flexible pipe k. An extraair valve o, Fig. 4, is con. nected with the induction pipe by a pipe m passing through the casing c and its operating rod p is connected to the ingition lever so that heated extra air is admitted when the spark is advanced. A valve t may be provided to control the flow of exhaust gas through the orifice f into the pipe e.
