Abstract

120,473. Marlow, F. H. Dec. 5, 1917. Mixing air and gas.- An engine using liquid fuel may be adapted to use gas by fitting the air and gas valve shown in Fig. 3 to the air inlet side of the carburettor. The fitting shown in Fig. 3 comprises concentrically-arranged air a n d gas admission passages e, f, respectively, which are controlled by a suctionactuated lift valve c. The air ports are regulated by a perforated disk h. If preferred, the carburettor may be removed, the gas and air valve fitting being screwed into the induction pipe.
