411,577. Current transformers. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.- (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts-Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin.) Jan. 16, 1933, No. 1457. Convention date, Jan. 14, 1932. [Class 38 (ii).] Relates to means for compensating for ratio and phase angle error in a current transformer. The magnetic circuit is divided into two sections which interlink unequal portions d<1>, d<11> of the secondary winding, and to modify the excitation the core sections also link series connected compensating windings f<1> f<11> which are loaded with a resistance g the value of which is dependent upon the voltage applied to it. The resistance g may be combined with or replaced by a saturable choke. In a modification the winding f, is omitted and the winding f<11> is connected in series with the winding d<1>. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 286,431, [Class 38 (ii)], and 366,512.
