Abstract

338,521. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., Wellings, J. G., and Mayo, C. G. Aug. 19, 1929. Transformers.- In apparatus connected on the low-voltage side of a power transformer 9 and compensated to respond proportionally to the high-voltage side, a compensating transformer 10 is wound with a primary low - voltage winding 5, and an auxiliary current winding 7 located on an additional magnetic circuit 4 of the transformer 10, the resultant flux due to windings 5, 7 energizing the secondary winding 6 in exact phase relationship and proportional magnitude with the highvoltage current. The auxiliary windings 7 may be connected through a current transformer and fed from either the low or high voltage side of the power transformer. Specification 224,873 is referred to.
