[Class 38 (ii)] A transformer giv. ing constant secon. dary voltage under conditions of varying primary voltage comprises a three-limbed core, primary and secondary windings A, C on respective outer limbs, and an auxiliary opposed secondary E on the same limb as the primary, the limb on which the main secondary C is placed being of reduced section so as to operate at saturation. An air gap D may be provided in the centre limb. Specification 484/15, [Class 38 (ii)], is referred to.
