Abstract

529,420. Transformers.. SOLA ELECTRIC CO. May 31, 1939, No. 16005. Convention date, Aug. 31, 1938. [Class 38 (ii)] A constant potential transformer comprises a primary winding 13 having loose magnetic coupling through the core 10 and high leakage reactance 20 with an auxiliary winding forming with the capacity 21 a circuit which is resonant to the frequency of the primary voltage. The output winding 16 is directly coupled to the winding as in the auto-transformer arrangement shown, or it may be wound over the auxiliary winding. An auxiliary regulating winding 23, directly coupled with the primary winding, may be in series with the output winding 16.
