[Classes 38 (ii) and 38 (iv)] Comprises a transformer for supplying neon &c. discharge tubes, in which the primary and secondary windings are mounted on the centre limb of the core and the secondary. windings are connected together at one end and so arranged that the other ends are of the same polarity so that the windings can be used separately for supplying individual loads or in parallel for supplying a single large load. Adjustable magnetic shunts are provided for effecting regulation.
