Abstract
225,508. Sachsenwerk, Licht-und Kraft-Akt.-Ges. Nov. 30, 1923, [Convention date]. Pressure meters; power meters; energy meters; power factors, measuring.-The voltage coils of meters m<1>, m<2>, m<3> used in a system wherein hightension current is transformed to low-tension current, are connected to the secondary winding of a voltage transformer t<2> placed across the lowtension circuit. In series with the secondary winding, t<2> is the secondary winding of a current transformer t' placed in the high-tension circuit, and shunted bv an inductive load b so designed as to compensate for the voltage loss in the main transformer T, and allow the meters to give readings corresponding to the voltage of the high-tension circuit. The current coils of meters may also be supplied by transformers on the lowtension circuit, if the no-load losses are separately determined by a time-meter. 'When a number of parallel main transformers are employed, only the voltage of one is determined. If the main transformer is arranged in star-delta connection, the voltage transformer is connected delta-star fashion. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the compensation transformer may be arranged in the low-voltage circuit, and the magnetizing current may be allowed for by adding a few windings to the lowvolt side of the voltage transformer. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
