Abstract
340,269. Transformers. BRIT I S H THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London, CLOUGH, F. H., Kilsby, near Rugby, MAYO, C. G., 17, Alexandra Road, and WELLINGS, J. G., Ricky, London Road, Dunchurch, both in Rugby. June 24, 1929, No. 19337. [Class 38 (ii).] A potential transformer comprising primary and secondary windings 3, 4 arranged as described in Specification 340,227 is combined with a current transformer the primary winding of which is formed by magnetic members 14 arranged either concentrically as shown, or side by side, the members being connected in series and provided with terminal connections 15, 15<1>. Thus an open magnetic circuit for the potential transformer is formed. The secondary winding 16 of the current transformer is disposed around the windings of the potential transformer. The two transformers are associated with a pair of bushing-type insulators 13 in the manner described in Specification 308,406, [Class 38 (ii), Electric currents, Converting &c.].
