[Class 38 (ii).] An electric transformer has a core of two sections 1, 2 of materials having a differing magnetic permeability, i n d i - vidually interlinked, in addition to the common interlinking by the main primary and secondary windings 5, 6 by the oppositely wound sections 3, 4 of an auxiliary winding arranged to cause a predetermined division of the flux carried by the two sections of the core.
