[Class 38 (ii).] Relates to a high-voltage transformer comprising a core a carrying a primary winding b, a secondary winding c, and compensating windings d, potential - distributing rings p being connected to the high-tension winding for controlling the potential gradient along the insulating part f of the casing as described in the parent Specification, and consists in combining therewith a cascade current transformer the two units of which are disposed one in each of the metal end caps g, h forming the high-voltage terminals. The intermediate circuit o, o' coupling the primary k and the secondary n of the current 'transformer, and also the cores i, m thereof are brought to a mean potential by connection through the core a to the middle potential distributing ring of the voltage transformer.
