[Class 38 (ii).] In voltage transformers, the core 1 is insulated from earth and from the low voltage secondary winding 3 by a unitary insulating structure 4, which has flanges 5, 6 separating the low voltage secondary 3 from the primary winding 2, which latter is connected to the core. The insulation may be of hard rubber. The primary winding can be sectioned or layered, and protected by a cover 10.
