Abstract
376,817. Transformers. ONWOOD, A., 23, Hambledon Road, Southfields, London. April 15, 1931, No. 11155. [Class 38 (ii).] The primary winding pl, p<2> wound in four sections on two parallel core limbs a and cross connected to render it astatic to external fields, and the secondary winding s<1>, s<2> similarly wound, are enclosed in screening casings n insulated from the core and from one another. The casings consist of two parts n<1>, n2, Fig. 4, and a cover n<3>. Holes w for the core limbs are connected by a slit w<1> and fit over insulating bobbins f, the wall q of the casing making contact with a split liner l of copper foil and being clamped between the flanges k and spacer m, leaving a gap v between the parts n<1>, n<2>. Each screen may be connected to the mid-point of the winding it encloses.
