[Class 38 (v).] Magnetic blow-outs.-In a small overload cut-out in which a single pair of coils c, d operate the tripping armature e and provide a blow-out field for the contacts at k, one or both coils are mounted perpendicularly to the main magnetic limbs a, b, whereby a more concentrated blow-out field is obtained without seriously weakening the 'tripping field.
