An earth-leakage circuit-breaker comprises a housing 1 enclosing pairs of fixed contacts 4d, movable bridging contacts 4c mounted in a slidable carrier 4a, manual resetting means 5 and a manually-operated test device 6 mounted above the contacts, an electromagnetic tripping device 8 mounted beside the contacts 4c, 4d and the means 5, and a differential current transformer 2 mounted in a chamber below the contacts and the device 8.
