Abstract
394,857. Loud-speakers. ROLA CO., 2570, Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. Oct. 17, 1932, No. 29028. Convention date, June 2. [Class 40 (iv).] A moving-coil loudspeaker comprises a pot P, Fig. 2, having notches N on opposite sides, and a pole plate O, Fig. 1, clamped to the pot and movable transversely to the central pole 2, upon slackening the clamping screws, to allow adjustment of the air gap. The pot preferably has flanges 7, Fig. 1, to which the pole plate is fixed. The centre pole 2 passes through a supplemental bottom plate 4 of magnetizable material. The leads L, 31, from the moving coil and energizing winding are taken to terminal blocks 30, 32 on the casing 17. The moving coil is centred by an external spider Z.
