Abstract

719,188. Loudspeakers. MERCIER, E. F. Jan. 28, 1953, [March 4, 1952], No. 2508/53. Class 40 (4). In a permanent magnet moving-coil loudspeaker the yoke 3 and the field plate 4 are each in the form of a cup and fit together rim-to-rim. The cone proper 12, is supported by a metal cone 10 fixed to the field plate by burring over the ends of the upstanding tenons 9. The field plate 4 also has tenons 7 which fit into notched plates 6 (Fig. 2) fixed to the yoke 3, when the field plate is rotated with respect to the yoke, thereby holding these parts together.
