Abstract

672,467. Loud-speakers. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 2, 1950 [June 4, 1949], No. 13849/50. Class 40 (iv). [Also in Group XXXV] The magnetic system for a shallow loudspeaker comprises a cylindrical permanent magnet 16 with inner and outer cup-shaped pole-pieces 17, 14 having their edges arranged to form an air gap for a moving coil 11 driving a re-entrant diaphragm 6. The magnet and pole-pieces are held together by a rivet 19.
