Abstract

857,413. Loud-speakers. HAWLEY PRODUCTS Ltd. Sept. 20, 1957 [Sept. 21, 1956], No. 28964/56. Class 40 (4). A loud-speaker has a pair of coaxial diaphragms the periphery of the smaller diaphragm 10 being secured resiliently to the adjacent part of the larger diaphragm 6 by an annulus 11 of sponge rubber or the like. The diaphragms may have a common speech coil, Fig. 1, or separate speech coils, Fig. 2. The usual spider 9 or 19 and peripheral mounting 5 or 15 may also be of sponge rubber or the like.
