[Class 99 (i).] Screw-threaded unions such as elbows, bends, tees, or a screwed sleeve 3 for joining pipes have machined faces against which the faced ends of the pipes abut, the unthreaded bore of the union being flush with the bore of the pipes. Recesses 10 are formed to facilitate the seating of the pipe ends. The internal flange 6 of the sleeve may be screwed or cast in position.
