[Class 99 (i)] The flared pipe end is clamped between the conical spigot end 12 and a sleeve 2 by a coupling nut 1, the bore of the sleeve having a greater conicitythan the spigot. -The sleeve has screw-threads so that it may be screwed into and retained loosely within the coupling nut.
