[Class 99 (i)] In a screwed spigot-andsocket joint in which the spigot has a deformable lip 3 engaging a conical surface 5 in the socket, a shoulder 7 on the spigot is caulked in a recess at the mouth of the socket. The recess 8 may be tapped by a hole through the socket for testing the joint.
