Abstract

485,480. Pipe joints. COMPRESSION JOINTS, Ltd., and FORD, J.. Nov. 28, 1936, No. 32608. [Class 99 (i)] A sealing ring 10 is forced around the end of a pipe 11 by a coupling nut 9 screwed to a member 6, the sealing ring having a threaded collar 10a by which it is screwed through the coupling nut. Fig. 5 shows a construction for joining two pipes in line. In a further construction the collar is located at one end of the sealing ring. Specification 431,083 is referred to.
