431,320. Pipe joints. BALDWIN, O. H., Fairmount, Salcombe, Devon. Jan. 25, 1935, No. 2580. Addition to 428,677. [Class 99 (i)] In a modification of the pipe joint according to the parent Specification in which an externally tapered ferrule 5, having a serrated bore, is compressed on to the pipe 4, an ordinary flanged nut 9 is used with a ring 7 having a tapered bore to fit the ferrule. The contacting surfaces of the ferrule and the nipple 2 may be slightly coned.
