[Class 99 (i)] In a joint in which a resilient sleeve 14 is compressed on assembly of a pipe 12 and a sleeve or socket 10, the socket is provided at its mouth with an internal retaining shoulder 16 and the engaging surfaces of the resilient sleeve and pipes 12 are lubricated.
