[Class 99 (i)] In a joint according to the parent Specification in which a tapered sealing ring 6 is compressed in a socket 2 and around the pipe 3 by engagement of the conical surface 5 of a nut with its undercut larger end 6a, the socket has a conical bore 7 of greater conicity than the external surface of the sealing ring.
