Abstract
570,914. Hose couplings. BROWN, C., and AMAL, Ltd. Dec. 28, 1943, No. 21721. [Class 99 (i)] A fitting or coupling member 3 is connected to a hose 1 by placing a collar 7 having internal longitudinally extending flutes or serrations over the end of the hose' and screwing into the hose a tapered screw-threaded end part 5 of the fitting. The coupling members have hexagonal collars 6 and may be secured together by a known tapered spigot-and-socket coupling 9.
