[Class 99 (i).] Two pipes 1, 9 are connected with their ends spaced apart by a sleeve 6 which fits loosely on the threaded end of the pipe 1 and screws on to the pipe 9, the sleeve having one or more conical surfaces 8, 13 which engage conical surfaces on each pipe end. The conical surfaces on the sleeve may be stepped and parallel.
