Abstract

357,444. Thermionic valves. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Dec. 18, 1930, No. 38174. Convention date, July 19. [Class 39 (i).] The cathode 6 of a thermionic valve or other electron discharge tube is supported at points 10 between its ends and is soldered to the supports at these positions. The supports at the points 10 which do not serve to lead in the current may consist of hooks made of molybdenum and the filament may be soldered to the hooks by means of silver oxide mixed with water which is reduced to metallic silver on heating. The hooks may consist of springs to keep the cathode under tension.
