[Class 39 (i)] A valve comprising a variable-mu control grid has a suppressor grid with windings arranged similarly to those of the control grid, a uniformly wound screen grid being interposed between the control and suppressor grids. If the supports of grids near the cathode cause deviation in the electron flow, subsequent supports may be arranged to compensate for the variation.
