462,428. Thermionic valves. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. May 18, 1936, No. 14056. Convention date, Aug. 14, 1935. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] A valve for use in a frequency changing circuit has a divided anode 6, 7 and a divided grid 4, 5 separated from the anode by a screen grid 8 ; a further screen grid 3 is interposed between the input grid 2 and the divided grids. Local oscillations are impressed by an external oscillating circuit through the coil 9 on the divided grid, so that the valve works in pushpull. The anodes and grids 4, 5 are biassed by connections to the mid-points of the coils 10, 9. The valve may be constructed with electrodes concentric with the cathode.
