Abstract

392,425. Thermionic valves ; valve generating circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES. FœR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches-Ufer, Berlin. Oct. 5, 1932, No. 27718. Convention date, Oct. 5, 1931. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] Oscillation generators for wavelengths of one decimetre or less comprise a valve having in one envelope two sets of electrodes operating in pushpull, and additional electrodes r, Fig. 1, form plates of condensers capacitatively back-coupling the anode a of each set to the grid g of the other set to produce oscillations. The two anodes a are in the form of discs joined by a flat, U. shaped lead l to form an inductance and are mounted outside the two grids g on opposite sides of a common cathode k. The electrodes are each connected to one grid g by a short lead and are in capacitative relation to an anode a. The grids g may be of the form shown in Figs. 4a or 4b and are connected to the centre point of the cathode k through leak resistances w inside the envelope. An inductance e is inserted in the lead l‹ to the anode battery, and the filament leads l<1> form capacities with the lead l‹. A dipole aerial d is capacitatively coupled to the anodes a by elements c<1>.
