Convention date, Jan 5. [Class 39 (i).] A valve has a cathode 2, an anode 3, a control grid 4, and an auxiliary grid 5 of much smaller size and capacity than the control grid, but mounted on the same plane and axis. The auxiliary grid may be onetenth the size of the control grid, and is preferably connected so as to prevent feedback oscillations.
