Abstract
552,526. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). Aug. 20, 1941, No. 10640. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] In an ultra short wave amplifier the input damping due to the transit time of the electrons and to the inductance in the cathode lead is avoided by the use of a pair of valves in pushpull with the cathodes connected by as short a lead as possible while each of the screen leads includes an inductance so proportioned as to compensate the input damping. The two amplifying systems may be arranged in a common envelope, as shown, with the screens led out separately and provided with inductances 8, 9 in the leads.
