Abstract

422,310. Valve amplifying circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 22, 1934, No. 9023. Convention date, April 7, 1933. [Class 40 (v)] Coupling between the input and output of a high frequency amplifier is reduced by a highfrequency connection from the side of the output impedance remote from the anode to an auxiliary grid so that the part of this connecton which is common with the connection of this grid to the cathode is of low impedance. The arrangement is contrasted with the known arrangement in which the load is connected to the cathode and shunted by the anode-screen capacity in series with the inductance of the lead connecting the screen to the cathode which results in the application of output potentials to the screen. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the inductive coupling between the screen grid and control grid is compensated by returning the anode load impedance to a point intermediate the ends of the screen grid.
