412,532. Valve amplifying circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. April 16, 1934, No. 11443. Convention date, May 18, 1933. [Class 40 (v).] In a high-frequency amplifier with the tunable circuit CL coupled to the grid of a valve through a condenser, the grid leak R is connected to a point on the coil L such that at least when receiving one wave-range no high frequency voltage is set up across the grid leak. The arrangement obviates the damping due to the grid leak and is preferably operable on the shorter wave range since amplification and selectivity are in general greater on the longer wave range.
