[Class 40 (v)] To ensure constant reaction over a range of frequencies, the back coupling voltage from the anode circuit of the detector 2 is applied over the condenser Cr to the grid circuit of the high frequency amplifier 1 over two paths, C5, C6, the back-coupling over the former increasing with the frequency and, over the latter, decreasing with frequency. By correct choice of values for condensers Cr, C5, C6 and C1, oscillation will always set in at the same adjustment of Cr.
