Abstract

377,559. Valve detecting circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Jan. 2, 1932, No. 137. Convention date, Jan. 16, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] A detector circuit arrangement comprises a screen grid valve the input circuit of which is connected between control grid and cathode and the output current between screen grid and cathode, the anode circuit including a circuit 11, 12, tuned to the received frequency. No coupling is provided between the input and output circuits, but the positive potentials applied to the anode and screen grid from the source 9 and tapping 10 are such that the valve operates on the verge of self-oscillation. By this means the damping of the tuned circuit is made independent of the tuning, thereby facilitating successful ganging of the condensers 6, 11.
