Abstract
368,533. Valve amplifying circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 20, 1931, No. 8630. Convention date, April 8, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] In order to prevent disturbances in wireless receivers the valves of which derive their anode voltage from a power supply network, the gridcathode circuit of at least one of the valves lies in one diagonal of a bridge connection the other diagonal being between earth and the cathode of the next valve. In the known arrangement of Fig. 1, the receiver earth connection is shown as a fictitious impedance 10, across which a disturbing voltage Vj is induced due to coupling of the leads 14, 15 with a disturbing source. This disturbing voltage reaches the grid of 4 through the circuit 3, 2, 11 the latter being the capacity of the aerial. According to the invention, an impedance 22, constituted by the fictitious impedance 10 and the addition of a further impedance, is connected between the cathode of valve 5 and earth, one end being connected to the grid of valve 4 through a small condenser 16 while the cathode of 4 is connected to the impedance by a slider. The tuned circuit 3 thus constitutes one diagonal and the impedance 22 the other diagonal of the bridge. The invention is applicable to high or lowfrequency circuits.
