Abstract
552,650. Valve amplifying circuits. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). Oct. 14, 1941, No. 13229. [Class 40 (v)] In a neutralized high frequency amplifier for short waves the lead connecting the cathodes is as short as possible and the input circuit is connected to such points in the leads connecting the neutralizing condensers to the grids that the ratio of the inductances in the grid and cathode circuits is equal to the ratio of the anode-cathode to anode-grid capacities of the valve. Fig. 3 shows the arrangement and Fig. 4 a substitution diagram. The neutrodyne condensers Cn are so adjusted that 1/w Cag : (w Ln-1/w Cn) = 1 /w Caf : (wLf-1/w Caf) which ensures that a voltage across the output circuit II does not produce voltage across G, F1 and G, F2 respectively. The input circuit I is connected to points P1 P, so chosen that Lg1 P, : ¢ Lf= 1 /Cag in which Lg1 P1 represents the inductance between the grid and the point P, so that the input circuit is not affected by voltages across the output circuit II. A valve with two connections to the input grid may be used. Specification 383,545 is referred to.
