514,141. Thermionic valves. IDEAL WERKE AKT.-GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEPHONIE. Dec. 1, 1938, No. 35068. Convention date, Dec. 7, 1937. [Class 39 (i)] In a split-anode magnetron, the ratio of the grid radius to the anode radius is equal to or smaller than one-fifth, with the exception that when the anode radius is less than 2.5 mms. the grid radius is 2.5 mms. The grid may consist of a helix or of parallel wires, and, if the cathode consists of a helix, then the grid radius must be 0.2-0.5 mms. greater than the cathode radius.
