Abstract

635,038. Thermionic valves. M-O VALVE CO., Ltd., and POWELL, F. H. Feb. 3, 1948, No. 3148. [Class 39(i)] The indirectly-heated cathode of a triodehexode or triode heptode valve is connected to one end of its heater inside the valve envelope so as to reduce the number of lead-in connections to the electrodes to seven. When used in a radio receiver circuit with the cathode heater connected in series with those of the other valves, the heater of the improved valve is located first in that series with the cathode connected to the negative end of the heater.
