Abstract
626,680. Thermionic valves. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Dec. 18, 1946, No. 37259. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1943. [Class 39 (i)] In an electric discharge tube containing at least two grids, the wires of one grid lying directly behind those of the other grid in the direction cathode-anode, the grids 2, 3 are spaced by a template 8 of insulating material with shallow and deep inclined notches 9, 10. The template material may be steatite, magnesium oxide or mica and may have more than two types of slot so as to receive more than two aligned grids. Reference is made to grids mounted on ceramic strips-with small and large notches which are not inclined so that the grid wires do not lie one behind the other. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 also describes a template with slots in opposed edges so as to space the grid wires. The subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
