647,375. Electric discharge tubes. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL, Ltd. Aug. 24, 1948, No. 22267. Convention date, Aug. 27, 1947. [Class 39 (i)] An electrode spacer comprises a first mica plate 5 with apertures to loosely fit the cathode 1 and support-rods 2, 3, for the first and second grids. To locate the first grid with respect to the cathode, a second mica plate 6 has tongues 7, 8 to engage the electrode parts 1, 2, the tongue 7 being bent by engagement with the cathode, to provide resilient clamping and allow for expansion.
