Abstract

282,150. Round, H. J. Sept. 14, 1926. Vacuum tubes.-A space charge grid is formed of fine wire shaped similarly to the filament cathode, and mounted between it and a control grid. As shown, the filament 1 is of W- or V-shape, and the space charge grid consists of a single fine wire 20 of similar shape to and parallel with the filament. A control grid 4, a shield grid 6 fixed to a cylindrical rim, and an external screen 19 are provided as described in Specification 275,335. A disc-shaped anode, not shown, is mounted behind the grid 6.
