Abstract

335,021. Siemens -Reiniger - Veifa Ges. f³r Medizinische Technik. Oct. 26, 1928, [Convention date]. R÷ntgen-ray tubes; vacuum tubes. - Two electrodes for the production of R÷ntgen rays and two electrodes acting as a valve are mounted in a single envelope, the first pair of electrodes permitting the passage of one half-wave for the generation of rays, and the valve electrodes permitting the passage of the second half-wave to charge a condenser. As shown, a helical cathode a and a cylindrical anode b acting as a valve are mounted around an anti-cathode c, the anode being mounted by wires e on the support for the cathode d of the R÷ntgen-ray system. In another arrangement, the valve cathode consists of a helix supported by wires from the anti-cathode and disposed close to an anode of disc shape surrounding the other cathode.
