Abstract
308,823. Loewe, S. June 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Divided on 292,913. Vacuum tubes. - A cathode is heated by conduction from two wires 4, 5, which form extensions of the cathode and are heated to incandescence by passage of current through them. One supply lead 6 is .connected through conductors 9, 10 with the ends of the cathode and the other lead with the outer leads 7, 8 of the heating wires 4, 5, so that no potential exists across the ends of the cathode; or the leads 7, 8 may be connected together by a bridge the mid-point of which is connected with a supply lead. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also (a) a valve in which a number of cathodes are connected in parallel between two heaters, and (b) a valve in which several electrode systems are arranged in a single envelope. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
